What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and manage demand and acquisition services within the supply chain management unit.
  • Oversee logistical services and ensure efficient operations.
  • Train and supervise subordinate staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Handle complex provisioning administration matters and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the entire procurement process, including quotations, purchase orders, and requisition authorization.
  • Evaluate purchasing transactions for compliance with departmental standards.
  • Administer payment processes and maintain accurate procurement systems.
  • Respond to audit queries and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus three years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, or a Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
  • Knowledge and experience in provisioning administration, specifically with LOGIS and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework (PPPFA).
  • Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, and Basic Accounting System (BAS).
  • Proficiency in computer applications and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent management and supervisory abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
