What You’ll Do

  • Complete the MPhil (Cardio) and Cert Cardio Phys (SA) with all logbook requirements.
  • Actively participate in the division’s activities and initiatives.
  • Conduct research focused on cardiac diseases prevalent in South Africa.
  • Provide comprehensive clinical services in consultation with the clinical head of the department.
  • Engage in effective training, teaching, and operational research.
  • Handle administrative and medico-legal responsibilities efficiently.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
  • HPCSA registration as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine for independent practice.
  • A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work after hours as required.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Cardiology or Cardiac Imaging.
  • Previous research experience and attendance of cardiology-specific accredited courses.
