What You’ll Do
- Provide secretarial and receptionist support to the Director of Corporate Services.
- Manage the Director’s diary, scheduling appointments and events efficiently.
- Type and prepare documents for the Director and other staff members.
- Operate office equipment, including fax machines and photocopiers.
- Liaise with travel agencies to arrange travel for the Director and staff.
- Organize meetings and events, including venue selection and refreshments.
- Process travel and subsistence claims for the unit.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing documents.
- Assist in filing and managing administrative matters like leave registers.
- Draft routine correspondence and take minutes during meetings as required.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 with typing as a subject or relevant training/qualifications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Good telephone etiquette and a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in word processing.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High reliability, tact, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Basic written communication skills.
- A professional appearance and good grooming.
