What You’ll Do

  • Provide optimal, holistic nursing care to patients in trauma and emergency situations.
  • Ensure effective utilization of nursing resources and participate in ongoing research activities.
  • Support the Nursing Services team while maintaining professional growth and ethical standards.
  • Deliver effective trauma and emergency nursing care in accordance with established standards.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • Post-basic nursing qualification in either Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Critical Care Nursing or Emergency Nursing.
  • Minimum of 4 years (Grade 1) or 14 years (Grade 2) of appropriate nursing experience after SANC registration.
  • Strong scientific knowledge in Trauma & Emergency nursing, along with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
