What You’ll Do

  • Deliver holistic nursing care within established professional and legal frameworks.
  • Maintain effective use of resources, including human, financial, and physical assets.
  • Provide support to Nursing Services, including relief duties and acting as a junior shift leader when required.
  • Engage in professional development and ensure compliance with nursing regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality improvement plans and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and statistical data collection while participating in research activities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of client care.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent, allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification with at least one year of accredited training in relevant fields such as Critical Care Nursing.
  • Minimum experience of 4 years for Grade 1 and 14 years for Grade 2 as a registered Professional Nurse.
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of health service-related legislation and policies.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and assist at other facilities as needed.
