What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in the ICU Unit, ensuring optimal care.
• Implement and supervise nursing health care practices in accordance with statutory laws.
• Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance patient care standards.
• Manage resources effectively to ensure efficient function within the ICU.
• Foster constructive working relationships with fellow nurses and other stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Infection Prevention and Control policies.
• Report on patient safety incidents, challenges, and deficiencies within the unit.
• Support staff development and performance management initiatives.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
• Basic nursing qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
• A post-basic nursing qualification in ICU Nursing Science, at least 1 year in duration.
• Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience post-registration with the SANC.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
