What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in the ICU Unit, ensuring optimal care.
- Implement and supervise nursing health care practices in accordance with statutory laws.
- Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance patient care standards.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure efficient function within the ICU.
- Foster constructive working relationships with fellow nurses and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to Infection Prevention and Control policies.
- Report on patient safety incidents, challenges, and deficiencies within the unit.
- Support staff development and performance management initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic nursing qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
- A post-basic nursing qualification in ICU Nursing Science, at least 1 year in duration.
- Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience post-registration with the SANC.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
