What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Trauma & Emergency Unit.
• Ensure effective management of resources and adherence to health care standards.
• Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance patient care.
• Supervise the implementation of patient care standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to promote effective healthcare delivery.
• Maintain compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
• Report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
• Foster constructive working relationships with diverse teams.
• Uphold the principles of Batho-Pele and the Patient’s Right Charter in all interactions.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
• Basic nursing qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
• A post-basic nursing qualification in Trauma & Emergency Nursing Science, lasting at least one year.
• Grade 1: Minimum of four years of relevant nursing experience post-registration as a Professional Nurse.
• Grade 2: Minimum of fourteen years of nursing experience post-registration, with at least ten years in Trauma & Emergency nursing.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
• Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
