What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Trauma & Emergency Unit.
- Ensure effective management of resources and adherence to health care standards.
- Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance patient care.
- Supervise the implementation of patient care standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to promote effective healthcare delivery.
- Maintain compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
- Report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
- Foster constructive working relationships with diverse teams.
- Uphold the principles of Batho-Pele and the Patient’s Right Charter in all interactions.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic nursing qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Trauma & Emergency Nursing Science, lasting at least one year.
- Grade 1: Minimum of four years of relevant nursing experience post-registration as a Professional Nurse.
- Grade 2: Minimum of fourteen years of nursing experience post-registration, with at least ten years in Trauma & Emergency nursing.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
