What You’ll Do
- Provide optimal nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to critically ill patients.
- Ensure effective management of nursing resources and equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance patient care.
- Supervise and implement patient care standards according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Maintain compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
- Report any patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
- Engage in staff development and performance management activities.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic qualification accredited with the SANC in General Nursing (Diploma/Degree).
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Intensive Care Nursing Science of at least one year, accredited with the SANC.
- For Grade 1: A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a registered Professional Nurse.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as a registered Professional Nurse, with ten (10) years in the ICU specialty.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
