What You’ll Do

  • Manage and enhance office systems for increased efficiency.
  • Oversee the flow of information and documentation to and from the Chief Director’s office.
  • Safeguard all documentation within the Chief Directorate’s Office.
  • Verify responses drafted on matters from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare complex documentation and provide advice to the Chief Director.
  • Coordinate reporting on transversal matters to the Chief Director.
  • Ensure efficient secretarial and administrative support within the Chief Directorate.
  • Follow up on submissions from provincial departments and municipalities.
  • Prepare presentations and briefings for the Chief Director.
  • Assist in project rollout by departmental units, ensuring timely follow-ups and feedback.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher).
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in office management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practices relevant to public service.
  • Familiarity with information systems that aid in knowledge and information management.
  • Understanding of project management and operational management principles.
  • Awareness of public finance, human resources, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage complex tasks efficiently.
