What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and manage Neurodevelopmental and Paediatric Neurology services.
  • Execute clinical duties with proficiency to support the hospital’s objectives.
  • Accept responsibility for patient management in a level 2/3 service facility.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in academic and training programs for staff development.
  • Conduct clinical audits and engage in continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with hospital management to ensure efficient patient care services.
  • Comply with performance management standards, including quarterly reviews.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate medical qualifications allowing registration as a Medical Specialist (Sub-Speciality) with HPCSA in Neurodevelopmental/Pediatric Neurology.
  • A valid work permit for non-South African applicants.
  • Sound knowledge of medical ethics and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Experience in the respective medical discipline, with specific years of experience required based on the grade applied for.
  • Skills in clinical assessments, history taking, and patient management.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with diverse teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of current health policies and the ability to mentor junior staff.
