What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality care to ENT patients, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
- Manage a designated patient workload while maintaining quality standards.
- Support and mentor junior medical staff in their patient management practices.
- Participate in clinical governance and administrative management tasks.
- Engage in research and data collection related to ENT services, including supervising data management and reporting.
- Conduct informal and formal teaching sessions for medical students and staff.
- Contribute to the academic programs, congresses, and workshops within the department.
- Uphold ethical standards and provide guidance in clinical counselling.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology.
- Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology.
- For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ experience post-registration as a Medical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology.
- For Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years’ experience post-registration as a Medical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology.
- Strong clinical, counselling, and ethical skills along with leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Computer literacy and the ability to engage in research projects.
