What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic radiology services for children at the hospital.
- Cover after-hours as a specialist radiologist, ensuring continuous patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings to review and discuss patient cases.
- Teach and supervise radiology registrars and other healthcare staff.
- Engage in research and audits to improve service quality and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare institutions to extend radiology services.
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology.
- For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Specialist after registration.
- For Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Medical Specialist after registration.
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and treatment in various settings.
- Excellent communication skills for report generation and consultations.
- A commitment to teaching, training, and outreach activities.
- Computer literacy and ability to work with databases.
