What You’ll Do

• Deliver pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative anaesthetic management for surgical patients.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical officers and interns to foster their development.
• Provide critical care to surgical patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Engage in teaching and training activities to share knowledge and best practices.
• Participate in management duties such as compiling statistics, delivering presentations, and conducting research.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification enabling registration as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthesiology with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration; for Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience; for Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
• Willingness to work shifts as required by the institution.
• Strong teamwork skills and an interest in pursuing an academic career.
