What You’ll Do
- Supervise the management of psychiatric services at Witbank Hospital
- Execute clinical duties with proficiency and in accordance with patient care standards
- Manage patients admitted to the facility, ensuring their well-being and treatment progress
- Assist in developing and implementing clinical guidelines and protocols
- Participate in academic training programs and contribute to continuous professional development
- Support hospital management in maintaining efficient patient care services
- Conduct clinical audits and participate in performance management reviews
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualifications for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Psychiatry
- Relevant experience: Grade 1 – None; Grade 2 – Minimum of 5 years; Grade 3 – Minimum of 10 years after registration with HPCSA
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and current health regulations
- Skills in consultations, history taking, clinical assessment, and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
