What You’ll Do

• Supervise the management and coordination of cardiology services.
• Execute duties with proficiency to uphold institutional aims and patient care standards.
• Accept responsibility for patients admitted under the level 2/3 package of services.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in academic and training programs to foster continued learning.
• Conduct clinical audits and engage in continuous professional development.
• Support hospital management in maintaining high standards of patient care and services.
• Comply with the Performance Management and Development System through quarterly reviews and assessments.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualifications for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist (Sub-Speciality) in Cardiology.
• Valid work permit required for non-South African applicants.
• Sound knowledge of medical ethics and multidisciplinary management.
• Experience in clinical assessments, consultations, and patient management.
• Grade 1: No experience required post-registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist.
• Grade 2: Minimum five years’ relevant experience post-registration.
• Grade 3: Minimum ten years’ relevant experience post-registration.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a diverse team.
