What You’ll Do

  • Manage a variety of medical conditions to provide competent service to all patients.
  • Supervise and train junior medical staff to ensure high standards of care.
  • Consult with patients on an outpatient basis for optimal chronic disease management.
  • Inform and counsel patients and their families regarding treatment and rehabilitation options.
  • Develop skills in resuscitative measures and intensive care for critically ill patients.
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes and report to referring doctors about patient care.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and other specialists when necessary for patient management.

What You’ll Need

  • MBChB degree and full registration with HPCSA as an independent practitioner.
  • Relevant experience, including internship and community service.
  • At least one year of relevant experience post-registration for foreign qualified employees.
  • A minimum of five years appropriate experience as a Medical Practitioner for Grade 2 or ten years for Grade 3 positions.
  • Knowledge of clinical decision-making and emergency treatment relevant to internal medicine and haematology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients and staff.
  • Current annual registration with HPCSA.
