What You’ll Do

  • Deliver clinical services in orthopaedic surgery across multiple hospital departments.
  • Engage in administrative governance and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and participate in clinical reviews for quality improvement.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to undergraduate students, interns, and junior doctors.
  • Contribute to the hospital’s academic program and partake in ongoing medical education.
  • Manage resources effectively while rendering high-quality orthopaedic care within the Metro East ecosystem.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualification for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Relevant experience depending on the grade:
  • Grade 1: None for SA qualified or 1-year for foreign qualified.
  • Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years for SA qualified or 6 years for foreign qualified.
  • Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years for SA qualified or 11 years for foreign qualified.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and willingness to travel.
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to teaching and training.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
