The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual for the role of Deputy Director: Revenue Management, located in the vibrant city of Tshwane. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and monitor revenue collection in Local Offices and Ports of Entries.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective income and revenue collection.
- Manage processes related to the reconciliation of generated revenues.
- Identify trends and challenges in revenue collection operations.
- Oversee updates of systems regarding outstanding and settled fines.
- Coordinate annual revenue budgeting and actual revenue reporting.
- Maintain departmental debtors in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Implement revenue management processes in line with Treasury Regulations and the PFMA.
- Provide advisory support regarding revenue generation and special circumstances.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
- Ensure effective management of human, physical, and financial resources within the unit.
- Coach and guide staff on best practices and compliance with regulations.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Financial Accounting, Finance Management, or Economics at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a revenue management environment at Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
- Knowledge of public security, relevant legislation, and departmental prescripts.
- Understanding of the planning and budgeting processes.
- A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
