What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic oversight for the implementation of the National Health Insurance system.
- Design and manage healthcare benefits and provider payment mechanisms.
- Coordinate the public procurement of health-related products efficiently.
- Manage digital health information systems for the National Health Insurance Fund.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce fraud and corruption within the NHI framework.
- Conduct investigations related to fraud and malpractice impacting healthcare delivery.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate.
- An NQF 8 qualification in Health, Medical Sciences, Public Health, or Health Economics as recognized by SAQA.
- At least eight years of senior management experience in health economics or health management.
- Strong knowledge of health insurance policy development, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with health challenges in South Africa and the SADC region.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A creative and innovative mindset with good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to irregular working hours.
- Proficiency in computer skills and a valid driver’s license.
- SMS pre-entry certificate is necessary for appointment finalization.
