What You’ll Do

• Manage the implementation of the provincial planning and budgeting process.
• Provide advice and training to client departments on the provincial budget process and formats.
• Offer technical assistance throughout the budgeting cycle, including proposal formulation and budget evaluations.
• Guide the implementation of the Public Finance Management Act and related regulations.
• Oversee stakeholder relationships and manage operational planning within the team.
• Ensure compliance with applicable prescripts during the budgeting process.

What You’ll Need

• A three-year tertiary qualification (Degree NQF level 7) in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• 3-5 years of experience at junior management level in a budget management environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to public service.
