What You’ll Do
- Manage the implementation of the provincial planning and budgeting process.
- Provide advice and training to client departments on the provincial budget process and formats.
- Offer technical assistance throughout the budgeting cycle, including proposal formulation and budget evaluations.
- Guide the implementation of the Public Finance Management Act and related regulations.
- Oversee stakeholder relationships and manage operational planning within the team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable prescripts during the budgeting process.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year tertiary qualification (Degree NQF level 7) in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience at junior management level in a budget management environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to public service.
