What You’ll Do

  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and program managers.
  • Develop and implement financial management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on project implementation and financial performance.
  • Oversee accounting and financial administration services within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with the Auditor General and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise budget planning and cash flow management.
  • Facilitate training and development for financial staff within the department.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 7 tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Finance or Accounting is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant senior management experience in finance.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of public finance management legislation and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office applications.
