What You’ll Do

  • Implement action programs related to Business Regulatory Reforms.
  • Develop and drive research initiatives to align with the province’s legislative mandate.
  • Provide regulatory support regarding appeals to the MEC in identified sectors.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and industry trends affecting the business regulatory environment.
  • Propose strategies to influence legislative outcomes effectively.
  • Coordinate and conduct public consultations for policy and legislation reviews.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of an NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Policy or Policy Development, with an LLB degree being an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in Economic Development, Research, or Legislative environments.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation concerning Liquor, Gaming and Betting, and Consumer Protection Services.
  • Proficiency in policy formulation, analysis, and research processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven leadership capabilities.
