What You’ll Do
- Maintain and manage the Entity database on LOGIS, BAS, IFMS, and Safety Web in compliance with relevant prescripts.
- Administer loss control in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Verify foundational accounting documents for assessment and compliance verification.
- Oversee the filing system for accounting documents within the department.
- Provide a structured verification process for budget manager signatures.
- Update and review financial management policies and corporate governance documents.
- Offer guidance on financial year-end processes and assist with annual financial statement preparation.
- Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of management reports.
- Maintain the loss control register and respond to client queries effectively.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of financial management policies and audit coordination processes.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Financial Accounting, Auditing, or Risk Management.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting environment, specifically in financial reporting and compliance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of internal control and financial reporting practices.
- Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
