What You’ll Do

• Provide patient care and manage medical conditions to ensure quality service delivery.
• Counsel patients and their families on treatment options, prevention, and rehabilitation.
• Perform resuscitation and intensive care procedures for critically ill patients.
• Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and assist in medical procedures and surgeries.
• Supervise and train junior staff to enhance their medical skills and patient care abilities.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with legal and statutory requirements.
• Conduct outpatient consultations for chronic disease management and follow-ups.
• Provide outreach services to other healthcare facilities within the Free State Province.
• Participate in clinical audits and evaluate clinical effectiveness indicators.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Relevant qualification for registration as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the HPCSA.
• Initial and current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Experience requirements:
• Grade 1: No prior experience required.
• Grade 2: At least 5 years of relevant experience post-registration.
• Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience post-registration.
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in communication, teaching, and supervisory skills.
• Familiarity with Public Service Legislation, Policies, and Procedures.
• Skills in conflict management, problem-solving, and leadership.
