What You’ll Do
- Provide patient care and manage medical conditions to ensure quality service delivery.
- Counsel patients and their families on treatment options, prevention, and rehabilitation.
- Perform resuscitation and intensive care procedures for critically ill patients.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and assist in medical procedures and surgeries.
- Supervise and train junior staff to enhance their medical skills and patient care abilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with legal and statutory requirements.
- Conduct outpatient consultations for chronic disease management and follow-ups.
- Provide outreach services to other healthcare facilities within the Free State Province.
- Participate in clinical audits and evaluate clinical effectiveness indicators.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Relevant qualification for registration as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the HPCSA.
- Initial and current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Experience requirements:
- Grade 1: No prior experience required.
- Grade 2: At least 5 years of relevant experience post-registration.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience post-registration.
- Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in communication, teaching, and supervisory skills.
- Familiarity with Public Service Legislation, Policies, and Procedures.
- Skills in conflict management, problem-solving, and leadership.
