What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate environmental education programs in schools through the Limpopo Green Schools for the Earth Programme and career expos.
  • Implement informal environmental education activities to raise awareness in the community.
  • Coordinate events to commemorate environmental calendar days in the district.
  • Conduct environmental awareness campaigns through various media platforms.
  • Collaborate and form partnerships with stakeholders to enhance education and awareness programs.
  • Represent the department in forums and structures focused on environmental education.
  • Compile reports on environmental education and awareness initiatives in the district.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Nature Conservation, Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • An NQF 7 qualification is advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and protocols.
  • Skills in implementing environmental education and awareness programs.
  • Understanding of sustainability in education.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in report writing and computer literacy.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement and manage projects effectively.
