What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the development of tourism products in collaboration with industry stakeholders.
- Conduct audits of tourism infrastructure to identify urgent upgrade needs.
- Coordinate engagement with relevant authorities to implement necessary interventions.
- Mobilize resources for the development of identified tourism products.
- Manage the assessment and improvement of technology needs for tourism product development.
- Analyze trends in visitor enhancement technologies across various sites.
- Engage with operators to promote visitor-friendly technologies.
- Research funding opportunities for product development initiatives.
- Liaise with community product owners to address development issues and access market opportunities.
What You’ll Need
- A recognized NQF Level 7 qualification in Tourism, Development Economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in tourism infrastructure management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant Acts, tourism management, and development principles.
- Strong understanding of project management systems and service delivery innovation.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and networking skills.
- A valid driver’s license; candidates with disabilities preventing driving will still be considered.
