What You’ll Do

  • Assist in managing the burden of disease following established health guidelines.
  • Provide and maintain quality care for all patients and health services.
  • Keep accurate clinical records and maintain statistics and referral records.
  • Utilise resources effectively while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Engage in community events to promote health awareness.
  • Collaborate in inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams while also working independently.
  • Supervise and mentor lower categories of nursing staff.
  • Commit to professional growth and uphold ethical standards in nursing practice.

What You’ll Need

  • A Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ nursing experience for Grade 1 or 14 years for Grade 2 post-registration.
  • A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of nursing and public service legislation and computer literacy in MS Word and Excel.
  • NIMART training or experience is advantageous.
