What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and facilitate various labour relations issues, including grievances and disputes.
- Represent the department in disciplinary hearings and coordinate responses to complaints.
- Manage and support the team in handling disputes referred to bargaining councils.
- Facilitate the implementation of labour relations policies and provide guidance to employees.
- Conduct workshops and awareness sessions on labour relations matters.
- Maintain accurate records and statistics as required by law.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies related to labour relations management.
- Manage financial, human, and physical resources in compliance with relevant directives and legislation.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Labour Relations, Labour Relations Management, Labour Law, LLB, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the Labour Relations field, with at least two years at a supervisory level.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent planning, organizing, negotiation, and people management skills.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong integrity and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing.
- Ability to interpret legislation and formulate policies effectively.
