What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and review the capturing of physical assets in management registers.
  • Oversee the allocation of assets to designated asset holders.
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures.
  • Promote and implement sound asset management practices within the department.
  • Supervise employees to maintain effective physical asset management.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate and a relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Public Management, or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related supervisory experience in asset management.
  • Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, the Public Services Act, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations.
  • Familiarity with the LOGIS system and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA).
  • Strong computer literacy, basic numeracy skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and report writing abilities.
