What You’ll Do

  • Chair meetings and represent the Parole Board in the absence of the Chairperson
  • Review and evaluate information from various sources to assess risks associated with individual offenders
  • Apply expertise to recommend safe release conditions for offenders
  • Participate in case hearings and collaborate with colleagues to reach informed decisions
  • Assist in drafting reports and summaries that support decision-making processes
  • Act as an ambassador for the Parole Board at hearings and events

What You’ll Need

  • A recognized NQF level 7 qualification in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or community leadership experience
  • Proven involvement in community-based structures and initiatives
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a corruption-free administration
  • Good standing within the community, supported by extensive life experience
  • A demonstrated interest in the Criminal Justice System
