What You’ll Do

  • Manage the implementation of the operational law enforcement plan to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
  • Conduct environmental analyses to inform planning and strategy development.
  • Develop and monitor operational plans based on provincial performance targets.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with station and centre management.
  • Engage in partnerships with local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
  • Oversee administration processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage community relations, including interactions with local Community Police Forums.
  • Ensure optimal operation of Testing Centre Stations (TCS).
  • Guide and support the professional development of staff through training programs.
  • Monitor financial expenditures and manage departmental budgets effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate or National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (3-year Diploma/Degree in Traffic/Management/Law – NQF 6).
  • A Basic Traffic Officer’s Diploma and registration as a Traffic Officer.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in Traffic Law Enforcement.
  • 7-10 years of general working experience in Traffic Law Enforcement.
  • Valid driving licenses (A and EC) and a clean criminal record.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic management policies, regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent skills in leadership, planning, organization, and communication.
