What You’ll Do

  • Operate tractors with various implements such as ploughs, rippers, and crop sprayers.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Carry out general farming activities including planting, discing, and harvesting of crop fields.
  • Operate specialised machinery like harvesters and drilling equipment.
  • Provide administrative support to assist in the effective management of farming operations.

What You’ll Need

  • A basic education with literacy and numeracy (ABET level 2) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code EC1) with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), except for individuals with disabilities.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in operating agricultural equipment.
  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery and basic diesel mechanic skills.
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles and the ability to drive various types of farm equipment.
