What You’ll Do

  • Render animal dipping services to control and prevent disease in livestock
  • Conduct minor maintenance on animal handling and dipping infrastructure
  • Assist with animal disease control initiatives, including vaccinations and treatments
  • Engage with community members to coordinate services and report on progress
  • Monitor and maintain dip tank water levels, ensuring effective mixing of dipping materials
  • Clean and safeguard the dip tank area, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Support farmers with animal restraint, castration, and dehorning procedures

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in animal handling is advantageous
  • A valid Code B/EB or higher driver’s license
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and competence in livestock handling
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle various tasks
  • Basic computer skills
