What You’ll Do
- Engage with communities to raise awareness about departmental projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate social programs and projects funded by the department.
- Identify and connect with relevant community stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
- Act as a liaison between the department and community beneficiaries to gather feedback and provide updates.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements to ensure local development efforts are well-coordinated.
- Support all departmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the directorate’s goals.
- Conduct awareness campaigns to sensitize communities about rural development initiatives.
- Assist beneficiaries in connecting with various stakeholders for enhanced project benefits.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate is required.
- A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Community Development, Agricultural Extension, Public Administration, Public Management, or a relevant qualification (NQF level 7).
- Experience in community engagement is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A keen understanding of community dynamics and the ability to propose viable solutions.
- Proficiency in using computer applications.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
