What You’ll Do
- Operate departmental vehicles and specialized agricultural machinery safely and efficiently
- Transport officials, work teams, and materials, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain accurate records, including logbooks and trip authorizations
- Assist with agricultural infrastructure and production support at departmental facilities
- Identify and report mechanical faults, facilitating necessary repairs
- Comply with departmental policies and safety regulations
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA
- Valid driver’s license code C1/code 10 minimum
- Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Experience in driving and operating specialized vehicles and agricultural machinery
- Knowledge of basic inspection and maintenance procedures
- Understanding of occupational health and safety requirements
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
