What You’ll Do

  • Receive and verify e-requisitions from internal clients for compliance with relevant prescripts.
  • Check supplier status on the Central Suppliers Database before processing requisitions.
  • Approve compliant requisitions online using SharePoint, adhering to departmental turnaround times.
  • Return non-compliant requisitions to clients with explanations of transgressions.
  • Prepare hard copies of compliant requisitions for distribution to relevant officials.
  • Update e-requisitions on SharePoint immediately with relevant order numbers.
  • Generate daily and weekly reports on outstanding requisitions and turnaround times.
  • Assist with capturing requests on LOGIS and handle related queries effectively.
  • Report system issues promptly to supervisors and ensure effective client communication.
  • Perform additional duties as delegated within the Supply Chain Management environment.

What You’ll Need

  • A Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Public Management, Administration, Logistics Management, Public Finance, Accounting, Purchasing Management, or a related qualification.
  • General exposure to logistics and compliance management is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of BAS, LOGIS, and Procurement Integration (PI).
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and plan effectively.
  • Competence in interpreting and applying relevant legislation and policies (PFMA, PPPFA, B-BBEE).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of Modified Cash Standards and the interpretation of financial statements.
