What You’ll Do

  • Perform clerical tasks related to asset management, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Update and maintain asset registers to reflect current assets accurately.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations using BAS/Logis systems.
  • Identify and manage obsolete and non-serviceable assets for disposal.
  • Request and receive quotations for asset acquisitions and disposals.
  • Monitor and analyze asset management processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide support to line functions in asset management activities.
  • Conduct stock-take verifications to ensure asset accuracy and accountability.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification or an equivalent certificate.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and asset management guidelines and practices.
  • Familiarity with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and related regulations.
  • Competence in data capturing and using computer systems for record management.
  • Skills in report writing and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Understanding of asset management policies and procurement procedures.

Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Supply Chain and Asset Management; Asset Management Guidelines; Supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics; Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and PPPFA Regulations.

B-BBEE; Procurement activities; Asset management policies and procedures /procurement policies and procedures; Document management Enterprise Content Management (ECM), inclusive of registry services and policy and procedures governing these functions.

Skills in the following: Report writing; Written and verbal communication.

Job Duties

Rendering asset management clerical tasks; Update and maintain asset registers; Assist with BAS/Logis Monthly Reconciliations; Identify and administer redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete moveable assets for disposal; Request and receive quotations is respect of asset acquisitions and disposals; Monitor, analyse and determine actions to ensure proper asset and disposal management; Provide support to line function; Conducting asset verifications (Stock-take).

Salary

R237 453 - R279 708 per annum (Level 05)
