About the Role
The Nkangala District is seeking a dedicated State Accountant for Revenue Management to join its team across multiple hospitals, including Bernice Samuel Hospital, H A Grove Hospital, and others in the region. What You’ll Do
- Capture receipts and journals on the Basic Accounting System (BAS)
- Process debtor accounts and monitor PEIS accounts
- Handle billing for PAIA accounts and manage logistical administration
- Collect cash and make deposits as required
- Prepare reconciliation and financial reports
- Request reports from BAS for submission to Treasury
- Consolidate revenue information from various healthcare facilities
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
- A Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or Management Accounting, as recognized by SAQA
- Knowledge and experience of provisioning administration, specifically in the context of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations
- Proficiency in computer literacy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good management and supervisory abilities
- Capability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- A valid driver’s license is considered an added advantage
