What You’ll Do
- Facilitate payroll transactions to ensure accurate salary payments.
- Reconcile financial systems related to salary disbursements, including PERSAL and BAS.
- Process payments for staff salaries through bank transfers and other financial institutions.
- Verify information for payroll certification and ensure compliance with financial legislative requirements.
- Process subsistence and travel claims, checking for accuracy and validating allocations.
- Verify and authorise salary-related payments made on BAS.
- Assist in preparing annual and quarterly financial statements for audit purposes.
- Participate in improving audit outcomes and risk management activities.
- Complete additional duties as delegated by management.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) or National Diploma in Financial Management or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and National Treasury regulations.
- Familiarity with government financial systems and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good numeracy and statistical skills.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to adapt to the office work schedule as required.
