What You’ll Do

  • Compile and submit progress reports on equity targets and compliance with the employment equity plan.
  • Cultivate a gender-sensitive workplace and foster a disability-friendly environment.
  • Support the integration of youth, gender, disability, and elderly programmes.
  • Manage financial resources within the directorate effectively.
  • Assist in capacity building and awareness initiatives for all staff members.
  • Ensure efficient resource management and information dissemination.
  • Network and benchmark against best practices in special programmes.
  • Oversee procurement and logistical needs for the sub-directorate at the district level.
  • Implement national and provincial directives related to special programmes.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, HRM, Gender Studies, Youth Studies, Disability Studies, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Special Programmes or Administration within government.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong understanding of Public Service HR policies, employment equity, and affirmative action measures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong planning, organization, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in programme and project management, as well as financial management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on client orientation and stakeholder management.
