What You’ll Do

  • Render administrative support services in the Consumer Affairs offices.
  • Conduct compliance inspections to ensure adherence to consumer protection laws.
  • Investigate consumer complaints and provide resolutions.
  • Conduct consumer education initiatives to raise awareness about rights and responsibilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings and actions taken.
  • Liaise with consumers and stakeholders to facilitate communication and support.
  • Administer the relevant legislation, including LPCA and CPA.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Business Management, Economics, Public Administration, Commercial Law, Business Administration, Law, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the Consumer Affairs field, particularly in dealing with LCPA, CPS legislation, or within an inspectorate and investigation environment.
  • Valid driver’s license (except for candidates with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including CPA, LPCA, and PSA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Negotiation and presentation skills, with a keen ability to analyse and solve problems.
  • Proficient in report writing and computer literacy.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and public speaking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
