What You’ll Do

  • Administer the processes related to all types of service terminations, including retirements and resignations.
  • Manage the leave process in accordance with the Policy and Procedure on Incapacity Leave and Ill-health Retirement (PILIR).
  • Process leave gratuities and manage long service awards, medical aid, and housing allowance.
  • Handle the termination of service and the processing of pension documents.
  • Capture and process PERSAL transactions related to service benefits accurately.
  • Ensure adherence to Batho Pele Principles and relevant Human Resource Policies.
  • Utilize resources effectively to contribute to the department’s goals.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • One to two years of experience in Human Resource Management, specifically in Conditions of Service, is advantageous.
  • Successful completion of PERSAL Administration training is a plus.
  • A valid South African driver’s license (exceptions apply for persons with disabilities).
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, and PILIR.
  • Proficiency in the PERSAL system and relevant government legislative prescripts.
  • Strong computer literacy and accurate data capturing skills.
  • Excellent business writing, communication, and report analysis skills.
