What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day permitting and administrative support to the department.
- Receive, manage, and administer permit queries, appeals, and maintain an electronic database.
- Collate information and file processed permit applications for wildlife activities.
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on permit matters.
- Evaluate and administer recommendations from environmental management plans.
- Distribute issued permits to applicants within specified timeframes.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 4 qualification (Grade 12) as recognized by SAQA.
- An NQF 6 qualification in Public Administration, Office Management, or a relevant field is an advantage.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- A valid driver’s license (except for candidates with disabilities).
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Knowledge of relevant acts, directives, and resolutions related to environmental management.
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills.
- Excellent record-keeping abilities and interpersonal relations.
- Problem-solving and conflict management skills.
