The Department of Social Development is actively seeking Social Workers for multiple posts in various districts including Capricorn North, Mogalakwena, Mopani East, Mopani West, Sekhukhune East, Sekhukhune South, Vhembe East, and Vhembe West. What You’ll Do

• Register and monitor Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs.
• Maintain and update databases of registered and funded ECD centres.
• Provide social work services focusing on care, support, protection, and development for vulnerable individuals and communities.
• Conduct assessments to identify conditions that require intervention.
• Support social auxiliary workers and volunteers in their roles.
• Stay informed about new developments in social work and welfare fields.
• Execute administrative functions associated with the role effectively.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF Level 7 qualification in Social Work, as recognized by SAQA.
• Valid registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• A valid driver’s license (an exception for individuals with disabilities is noted).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong report writing abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Experience and knowledge of the Children’s Act and social systems.
• Capacity to assist, develop, and empower individuals and communities.
• Functional computer literacy, with Excel skills being an added advantage.
