About the Role
The Department of Social Development is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Work Supervisor Grade 1 to join their team in the Capricorn District and Mopani District. What You’ll Do
- Facilitate community home-based care for individuals in need.
- Develop and implement capacity-building programs for stakeholders.
- Lead HIV/AIDS awareness and support initiatives.
- Manage social relief programs to assist those in distress.
- Conduct training and skills development for social workers.
- Oversee the supervision and evaluation of social work practices.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor of Social Work recognized by SAQA.
- Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in social work post-registration.
- A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (exceptions apply for persons with disabilities).
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent report writing and management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant social work programs and service delivery models.
