What You’ll Do
- Identify and facilitate the implementation of community development interventions in partnership with local residents and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with relevant role players to establish and maintain sustainable partnerships for community development.
- Support communities through administrative tasks related to community development activities.
- Stay informed about new developments and best practices in community development to enhance service delivery.
- Encourage community participation in self-empowerment initiatives and development projects.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate along with an appropriate qualification at NQF 6 or equivalent in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (exceptions apply for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of community development work, social systems, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent coordination skills for community development structures.
- Ability to influence and motivate individuals and groups towards participation in development ventures.
- Understanding of social dynamics and financial management principles.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Research and project management skills with a good level of computer literacy.

Requirements
Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification at NQF 6 or equivalent qualification in Development Studies / Diaconiology / Social Sciences / Community Development / Sociology / Population Studies / Demography or equivalent qualification in the relevant field or area as recognized by SAQA.Valid motor vehicle driver’s licence (with the exception of persons with disabilities).

Job Duties
Identify and facilitate the implementation of integrated community development interventions in partnership with the community and other relevant stakeholders.Collaborate and liaise with pertinent role players and stakeholders to establish partnerships to ensure the sustainability of development actions within the community.
Support communities and perform administrative support on community development and related activities.
Keep abreast of new developments in the community development field to enhance service delivery.
