What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the provision of social work services, ensuring they meet care and support standards for vulnerable populations.
  • Supervise and mentor social workers and social auxiliary workers, ensuring compliance with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
  • Coordinate and manage various social welfare programs, adapting services to meet community needs.
  • Provide counselling and support to clients, helping them navigate their challenges effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of non-profit organisations involved in service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on social work activities and outcomes.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor of Social Work qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
  • A minimum of seven years of social work experience post-registration.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the social work service delivery model and relevant programs.
