What You’ll Do

  • Assist with human resource development and logistical duties
  • Provide administrative support to the state veterinary office
  • Manage and maintain files, registers, records, and databases
  • Capture and update animal health information and statistics
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and official documents
  • Plan and coordinate veterinary programmes and activities
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
  • Support procurement and financial administration tasks
  • Monitor and manage office equipment, supplies, and assets
  • Assist veterinary personnel with logistical arrangements for field visits and health campaigns
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with government policies and legislation

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 qualification with a National Diploma or Undergraduate degree in Administration
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Understanding of Batho Pele principles and the public servant’s code of conduct
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
  • Analytical skills and experience with database management
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Valid driver’s license
