About the Role
The Department of National Treasury is currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Practitioner in Demand Management, based in the vibrant city of Pretoria, Gauteng. What You’ll Do
- Administer departmental requests by sourcing quotations and compiling comparative schedules.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures while implementing effective systems.
- Guide and assist with the registration and accreditation of suppliers in line with national regulations.
- Manage budgetary and administrative responsibilities within the bid committee division.
- Source proposals from suppliers and manage the invitation of quotations from the supplier database.
- Draft and package submissions for the Bid Committee, ensuring adherence to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act.
- Maintain an efficient procurement system by compiling confidential reports and managing a spreadsheet of requests.
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Logistics, or Business Management.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Demand Management and Acquisition Management environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
- Familiarity with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and departmental SCM procedures.
- Strong computer literacy and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with supervisory skills.
- Capability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
