What You’ll Do

  • Manage the departmental asset register and ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct training sessions on asset management for client offices.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental asset management policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a barcoded asset system for efficient tracking and identification.
  • Compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for financial reporting.
  • Perform regular asset verification and spot checks to ensure integrity.
  • Identify and recommend obsolete and redundant assets for disposal.
  • Reconcile asset movements and maintain proper filling systems for records.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Logistic Management, Supply Chain Management, or Public Management (NQF Level 6).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Asset Management.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Regulations, Public Finance Management Act, and associated regulations.
  • Strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in LOGIS and a valid driver’s license.
